Driving in New Zealand can be very different to driving at home. For starters, we drive on the left-hand side of the road, some of our roads can be quite narrow and windy, and they may even have loose gravel. Driving distances may appear shorter on a map than they really are, so be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to reach your destination, while factoring in time to stop and enjoy the sights along the way.
Check out Tourism New Zealand's "New Zealand Tourist Driving Quiz" - it's a great resource to check out before starting your Pacific Horizon motorhome holiday.
It's available in five languages - English, German, French, Spanish & Chinese, and highlights some of the unique characteristics of our roads, our essential Road Code rules, and our different driving conditions.
