We had a fantastic time in New Zealand, touring the Northern Island with a Pacific Horizon Mercedes Campervan.  From the (complementary) pick up at Wellington Airport, till the (again complementary) drop-off at the bed and breakfast we booked for the night after our trip, your team took great care of us.

Very friendly staff, a well-equipped and clean campervan, a great support arrangement (we luckily didn't have to use) during the trip and a no-nonsense administrative process.  Great!!

If we ever come back to travel New Zealand by campervan we will definitely come back to you.  Thanks again!

The staff at Pacific Horizon were tremendously helpful and friendly throughout our whole experience with them, from the sales process to pickup and drop off at the airports.
Maryann first helped us find the right camper at a great rate even though they were short on campers - so she upgraded us at no cost.
Colin picked us up from Wellington and we had a nice ride with him and got some great travel tips.
We had a little accident the day following pick-up, but Colin, Maryann and the staff came up with a great solution and got us back on the road without delay.
Vehicle worked well, with no issues for the duration of our trip. Very happy.
The gentleman at the Auckland site was also friendly and made our airport transfer enjoyable.

Overall, a 10/10 experience from start to finish.

We had a fantastic time in New Zealand and rented a Premium Eclipse 4-berth with Pacific Horizon.  It was almost brand new and exceptionally clean throughout and well equipped with everything you could want to cook with and sleep with.
Maryann at Pacific Horizon is extremely attentive and very responsive, I'd email her and she would get back to me very promptly. And if you are considering doing the motorhome holiday NZ is so well equipped for this kind of adventure.
What I liked was that they were local and were a small 'boutique' business so you feel as though you are really helping the local economy.  We would certainly recommend PH to family and friends - actually I already have just last night.

Picked up our Pacific Horizon 2 berth van in Wellington. Van was new and staff were very helpful. The van was self contained with a microwave, electric kettle, TV with satellite etc. I can't fault anything about the service or the van.

We used a different company on the South Island and were very disappointed when we compared back to Pacific Horizon. John picked us up and returned us to our hotel in Wellington and we weren't charged! John was very interesting company. Maryann was lovely and we preferred being given a personal tour and overview of the van and how to operate it rather than in the other company where it was "Here sit down and watch the videos" - boring!

Had a fantastic time with a really comfortable van. Thank you and we would recommend you very highly.

Excellent company! Maryann was always efficient and friendly. We had a brand new campervan that was state-of-the-art.

Our family of 6 has just enjoyed a month of travelling around New Zealand in a Pacific Horizon SAM motorhome.

We used rankers.co.nz to find a motorhome to rent for our 8-day trip to NZ. Pacific Horizon were the only company to respond with a message addressing our requirements. Maryann recommended a GEM 4 berth motorhome because the king sized bed can be left made up and with a toilet and shower, we could easily free-camp. Communicating with Maryann was easy; she's quick to respond to our questions, happy to accommodate our date changes and made recommendations which were super handy being first time motorhome renters.

We loved that the motorhome was delivered to our accommodation and Eddie gave us a very thorough run through of how everything works (hot water, refilling fresh water, dumping grey water, emptying toilet cassette, etc...). He clarified appliances that would/wouldn't work while we were free-camping and gave us tonnes of really helpful tips for travelling around NZ.

On our first night, a pretty heavy storm hit and rain found its way in through the skylight. My feeling is this would've been incredibly difficult to detect in a pre-hire check. We called Maryann in the morning and she arranged for it to be repaired as soon as we stopped that night. We've heard of some motorhome companies not wanting to repair leaks and other minor faults during the hire period but Maryann didn't hesitate and the guy who repaired it stayed back until we got there and couldn't have been nicer. What could've been a problem for the subsequent 7 days of rain turned into a really pleasant experience thanks to Maryann and her network of repairers.

The van was clean, everything was in good working order and there's plenty of cutlery and crockery. We'd happily rent a motorhome from Maryann next time we visit NZ.

Hope you are well, I just had to say a big thanks for all your help in making our trip to New Zealand so fantastic. From day one when I first contacted your company Pacific Horizon fourteen months prior to the trip you were so helpful and professional, you gave in depth info on hotels for when we first arrived late at night before collecting the caravanette, and answered our many questions. The briefing on how it all worked was thorough and we set off around your beautiful Island on our trip of a lifetime.

The van being so self sufficient allowed us to park up on lakesides, mountains and by the sea we didn't have to find campsites. We were recommended to you by friends at our rugby club who had used your camper vans back in 2005 on the last Lions trip and now that we are back I have thanked them for such a great recommendation.

When we handed back the vehicle it was lovely to meet you face to face after conversing by email and phone for so long and thank you in person for making our holiday so stress-free.  Anyway I will certainly recommend your company to any one I know heading to New Zealand and hopefully return one day to use your company again.  Hope to meet up again sometime in the future.

Thanks very much for the fantastic service including a really thorough handover explaining everything. We had a great month touring the North Island and were glad we had a motorhome that would cope with some of the hills and mountains!!
The return was so easy and Eddie was so helpful at the end of our trip, as you were at the beginning.

We have just returned from a 3 week campervan trip and used Pacific Horizon. We have used this company twice previously with no issues. Due to a recent change in ownership we were a little worried booking our third trip. Our worries proved to be unfounded. 

There were two issues with our trip. First the van was delayed two days for a service issue. On arrival we were offered a few options (All were very generous) We chose to take a loaner van for two days and Pacific Horizon staff would meet us at any location of our choice to do the switch. This worked well and other than not fully unpacking our cases there was no real inconvenience. (We were also offered compensation). The second incident was a minor accident (Our fault). We called with the details and parts were shipped to our location for installation the next day with only about two hours out of our schedule for repairs. Both issues were dealt with professionally and we were given multiple options. We would highly recommend Pacific Horizon for a campervan vacation.

It was imperative that we locate a company that would allow us to collect in Auckland, drop off in Wellington then fly between islands before picking up again in Christchurch which was also to be our end destination.  Pacific Horizon fitted that criteria and we were never disappointed.

We made contact and were at once impressed with the speed of response and the co-operation we were afforded.

In all we enjoyed 22 days of campervan life (covering 4,300 kms) and Pacific Horizon saw to it that we enjoyed the experience in warmth and comfort, the beauty of New Zealand and its so friendly peoples did the rest.  We were in common with many others that have chosen a campervan holiday so sad at leaving our trusty chariot and its endless list of equipment.  It sure is a house on wheels.  Try it, it will not disappoint!!
